A Prayer for Family and Friends

Thank you, Lord, for sending your only son to save us from our sins. When I look at all that you have done for me and my family, I open my mouth in praises of your holy name. You are indeed a great God. You have done amazing things for us and I give you all the praise. Thank you for yet another wonderful Christmas. may your name alone be praised forever.

I thank you for my friends also, may this Christmas bring them lots of enjoyment and happiness on this special day, and may his face shine upon you.

A Prayer for Opening Presents

Lord and Giver of all good things, the three wise men traveled miles to bring the Christ Jesus the first Christmas presents. So may we, too, remember with thankful hearts the love that comes with each presents we open. We also thank you for the love you have for each of us, and for the many gifts that you give us, especially the gift of life itself. Amen.

A Prayer for Protection

Lord God, I pray for your protection as we step into this festive season. You are my hiding place, and under your wings can we always find refuge. Protect us from harm wherever we go, and keep evil far from us. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus as you celebrate the coming of his Son. Amen.
