I love finding ways to feel God in my day, whether I’m going to work or cooking dinner. I make sure I’m connected to Him by listening to Bible stories, sermons, praying, and singing praise songs. A father, a family is a gift from God. Many times, we neglect this gift because we feel that they are always doing okay. The battles and obstacles our dads face daily are many. We can't fight for them physically, giving them glucose water may strengthen their bodies but not their spirits. What we can do is pray. Lifting them in prayer is our own way of securing a sure victory for them. These strong prayers for your dad will lift him to the Lord and help to strengthen and encourage his own walk with Christ.
Holy One, I declare Your word over my father’s life, please guide him in the way of wisdom and lead him in upright paths. I pray that as my father walks, his steps will not be hampered, and when he runs, he will not stumble. I pray against the adversary’s plan to cause my father to fall and waver. Lord, continue to be the rock that my father can lean on at all times, Amen.
Omniscient God, thank You for blessing me with an earthly father who has been a reflection of Your word daily. My father has been a husband that has honored his wife and has treated my mother with understanding as they live together. Unlike how society shows me, my father has shown me how a woman should be respected and cared for. I pray that the things that my father’s life has shown me will encourage me to be obedient to Your word also, Amen.
Mighty Warrior, I pray for divine strength for my father’s life. I pray that he stays on his guard; stands firm in the faith; remains courageous and strong! I pray that he is given divine strength to withstand the attacks of the enemy with the help of the Scriptures. You are everything that my father needs to be victorious, so I pray that You remain at my father’s right hand. I also pray that Your word remains in his heart, Amena
King of Kings, I declare that You will be the source that my father turns to in times of counsel and guidance. Lord, You are faithful, even in times when my father (and I) has been faithless, for You cannot disown Yourself. I thank You for this word of encouragement; Lord, give my father the strength to remain faithful to You for You are good. Lord, You are the best source of counsel and guidance because You have his best interests at heart, Amen.
Wonderful Counselor, You commanded the Israelites not to be terrified, not to be afraid. The Word also says that You went before them, fought for them as You did in Egypt, before their very eyes, and in the wilderness. Lord, You carried them, as my father carried me as a child, all the way until we had reached. I pray that You continue to cover father so that he will also remember to not be afraid, Amen.
Righteous God, I proclaim that my father shall put on the full armor of You so that he can make a stand against the devil’s schemes. For the struggle is not against flesh and blood, against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. I declare that my father shall be equipped to stand his ground because he shall be covered in the full armor of You, Amen.
Divine Father, I can sense that my father lacks strength right now so please uplift his spirit! I proclaim that You are his refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, he will not fear, because Your name is a strong tower; in You, he can find rest and be safe. Lord, please keep my father under Your loving eye so that he will no longer grieve but will have joy in You, his strength, Amen.
It is also important that we pray for them because their decisions affect our entire family life. That is why it is more important for us to pray for them as their children and these our father prayers will guide you on how to do it.
