I love finding ways to feel God in my day, whether I’m going to work or cooking dinner. I make sure I’m connected to Him by listening to Bible stories, sermons, praying, and singing praise songs. All the apps I test are introduced into my everyday life so that I can feel their usability on a daily basis.
Children are considered to be gifts from God. But an unpopular opinion is that parents are also God's gift to us all. Godly parents are a prize and should be cherished as such. For a lot of us, the first place we heard God's voice was from our parents; through their encouragement, their warning, their discipline, their advice. "Charity begins at home" yes, it does. We first learn what it means to love and be loved from our parents. They put in time, effort and resources to groom us into respectable members of society who contribute to it's growth.
Something happens as well grow older though, we discover a lot of things about ourselves, our family, our society that we were once too young to understand. Most of us started to see the mistakes and the problems in our parents' lifestyles, the parts of them we never want to replicate. We realize that the ones we looked up to are, in fact, not superheroes at all. They're humans like us with weaknesses and shortcomings who simply need to be loved.
You might think that your parents don't need your help or that they don't deserve it but that is far from the truth. They need your love and assistance physically, spiritually and any other way you can afford to give. Most importantly, they need your prayers.
So here, we have listed prayers for mothers, prayers for fathers and prayers for every parent out there, old or young, married or unmarried.
Holy Father in heaven, thank you for the gift of mothers. Thank you for giving them to we children so that we may understand at least a fraction of your love through them. First, I thank you for mine. Thank you for making her strong, thank you for making her tough and giving her enough grace to train me, I know it wasn't easy. I pray for every woman out there that is a mother or is hoping to become one, I pray that you keep and uphold her and equip her with everything they need to love and train your children in the ways of the Spirit. When she feels weak, be her strength. When she's worried, be her peace. Lead her everywhere she goes and help her to be more like you everyday. Help her to renew herself always in the light of your word. Holy Spirit, teach her all things, counsel her to handle people with love and give her grace to show your person and your power in everything she does. May this world be filled with mothers through whom children will feel your presence and learn to be as you are. For in Jesus' name I pray.
Good father, Almighty God, thank you for Fathers. Thank you for being our amazing Father, the prototype for Fathers everywhere. Thank you because you have protected us and provided for us through our earthly Fathers. Through them, we have learned about life and survival. I thank you for my Father because inspire of all the difficulties, he still shows up and does the needful. Thank you for all fathers out there, I pray for that they receive grace to keep pushing through, I pray for peace that surpasses all understanding upon them. I pray that they receive peace like a river over whatever things are giving them sleepless nights. Lord, they can't do it on their own and I know you know that so I pray for divine assistance and provision upon their lives and their families. I pray that you protect them and be with them in their going out and their coming in. May the works of their hands yield good and wholesome fruit that will be sufficient for every member of the house. I also pray, Lord, that you help them to love and protect their wives and children and help them not to neglect their family in the midst of working and carrying out their Fatherly responsibilities. Help them to be the good kind of Father, just as you are in Jesus' name.
God, I thank you for every parent in this world, whether they have just one child or twenty children. I pray for those that don't know you, I pray that you reveal yourself to them that they may come running to you and discover how much easier and better life is with you. I pray that they turn to you and begin to live lives that their children can imitate. I pray for those that already know you, that you draw them closer and give them the much needed wisdom, understanding and patience required to train a child. Supply them with enough love and resources for the little ones, even the not so little ones. Give them grace to serve you and live for you through it all. Provide for all their needs and ease all their worries and fears. Comfort them and hold them when they feel alone and help them to rest in the reality of your promises. Let them always have reason to praise you. Thank you God because you listen and you have answered, for in Jesus' precious name I pray.
This is a time where everyone needs prayers and every Christian should be an intercessor. Your prayers could be the last thread by which someone is hanging, so always pray for those you love. As you pray for your friends, your circle, the church, your finances and academic, pray for your parents as well. You may never know how much they're fighting for your survival or the things they have to endure to make sure you get a life you deserve and even if you knew, you may never be able to do anything about it. So, talk to the One who can and who will. Never forget, prayer is one of the purest forms of love. So when all else fails, love - in the form of prayer - will never fail.

We wonder what does heaven look like. Although we may not be equipped to imagine an exact image, through Scripture, we can paint a mental picture.
