Powerful Prayers for Courage in Difficult Times

Lord Jesus Christ, my prayer this morning, is that you give me persistent winning courage as I go through this day. When I am tempted to give up, help me to keep going. Grant me a cheerful spirit when things don’t go my way. Give me the courage to do whatever needs to be done. I pray that when life’s turbulence and shock waves of this world come my way, you will make me brave. Empower the words of my mouth to pacify the tides and storms that rise up against me. Lord, grant me the bravery to withstand the threats and seductions of the earthly men and women, so that on the last day I may share eternal Life with You. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

Father, There are days when I am not your strongest soldier, and sometimes I may give in to the temptations of evil. Sometimes, I choose what’s easier for me, even though I know it’s wrong and it may hurt others. When I witnessed an act of injustice, I merely stood by and did nothing, instead of defending a victim of injustice. You blessed me with these talents for a reason, so I must put them to good use by helping others to the best of my abilities. In choosing to turn away from good, I dishonour You. Lord, please give me the strength and courage I need to live a godly life that glorifies You. May I have the courage to do what’s right, for the sake of others and my faith. May I have the courage to speak up and continue to fight for what is right. In Jesus’ name, Amen.​

Dear Father, thank You for believing in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. I offer this prayer asking that You continue to lend me Your strength, for it is Your faith in my capabilities that helps me power through these challenges before me. It is the greatest honor to be Your follower. I know that I can honor You by fulfilling the mission You gave me, even though I may feel as if I am unworthy of such a responsibility. I pray that I have the courage to believe in myself and follow Your plans without any doubt in my heart, for I know You will only lead me to all things right and good. In Your name, I pray. Amen.

Dearest God in heaven, I come to You in my time of need. These challenges before me continue to tear me down, and I fear I may not have the resilience to keep on going. Please, Lord, bless me with the courage I need to continue. As difficult as life may be right now, I know that these hardships are only temporary. I need only to remain strong, and with You as my greatest source of strength, I know that I can push through and persevere. With Your grace giving me courage, I pray that I can come out of this trial stronger than ever. These worries I lift up to You, In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God, I know I am unwell, but I also know that Your will is for me to be healed. You will never abandon me, especially in my time of need. Please grant me the courage to be strong in heart even if my body is weak. I may not be able to change my situation for the better, but I pray I am able to withstand any further changes it might bring. Let me face this moments with courage in my heart, for whatever happens is Your will. You alone can heal me, so I pray for the strength and patience necessary to hold on. Please send down Your Holy Spirit, so that I may be able to move forward and act according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
