The Boundless Love of God
“Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God…” This famous line by the Christian songwriter does well to capture the unfathomable love of God. The death of Jesus Christ, His Son, is proof of His unconditional love toward us. And the scripture upon which today’s devotional is based, Psalm 103:11, is another majestic and nearly unparalleled representation of God’s love.
Beloved, there is more than enough proof of God’s love for us. God’s love knows no bounds, no depth, or limitations. It is an unconditional kind of love that withstands the test of our unfaithfulness, disobedience, or conditional attitude toward Him.
The verse begins with a mind-blowing description of His love: “For as high as the heavens are above the earth…”
This amount of love is too significant for mere humans like us. God loves us and sees us as worthy of the undue love and affection that He shows toward us, reminding us that we are significant to Him. He knows us intimately, and His love for us is immeasurable.
The verse continues, “…so great is His love for those who fear Him.” This phrase represents the key to unlocking and receiving the love of God. This fear is not a paralyzing dread or a cowering fear before an unapproachable God. Rather, it is a reverent awe and deep respect for the Almighty.
In conclusion, Psalm 103:11 is an important reminder of the love God has for those who revere Him. The boundless nature of God is one that we cannot fully comprehend without the Holy Spirit. As you seek to know God’s love in a deeper dimension, endeavor to pray this prayer:

Dear Jesus, I am truly grateful for your outstretched hand of friendship. Today, I accept you not only as my Lord but also as my dear friend. Thank you for the immeasurable love you’ve shown me, a love that knows no bounds or limitations. Guide me to be a faithful friend to you, just as you have been to me. Help me to deepen our relationship through prayer, studying your word, and obeying your teachings. May I find strength, wisdom, and comfort in this friendship, knowing that nothing can separate us from your love. No matter what challenges or trials I may face, I take comfort in the assurance that your love is unwavering and eternal. Help me to walk in the light of your love, confident in the knowledge that I am never alone, and that your love will always surround and protect me.
