I love finding ways to feel God in my day, whether I’m going to work or cooking dinner. I make sure I’m connected to Him by listening to Bible stories, sermons, praying, and singing praise songs. All the apps I test are introduced into my everyday life so that I can feel their usability on a daily basis.
God ordained the man, as the head of the family. As fathers and husbands, they carry financial, emotional, and physical burdens. They make several sacrifices to make sure their wife and kids have what they need.
It is the duty of every good husband to do so. However, the head that wears the crown gets heavy too. Some men refuse to share their struggles, because they’ve been raised to keep their emotions to themselves and endure.
As wives, we took oaths before God and men to be with our husbands through it all. It is our duty to stand in the gap to continually lift our husbands up to God. The position of a wife is one of consistent intercession and the genuine prayer of a wife for her husband is a powerful one.
Asides from lifting off their burdens, prayer changes our husbands and changes us. Marriage is not always a bed of roses, it’s sometimes also a bed of rocks. But when things get rocky, as wives, we fight on our knees. That is where true victory lies. Here are 5 powerful prayers to pray for our husbands even as we go through life with them.
Prayer For The Love of God In Your Husband
‘And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27
Lord, I pray today that you permeate my husband’s heart so that he will love you with all of his heart, soul, strength, and mind. I know often he is too exhausted from working to support our family and his time with You is shortened or non-existent. Yet, Lord, help his thoughts to dwell on You as he drives to work, as he works with unbelievers and then returns home at the end of the day. Draw his mind to You in unexpected ways as he goes about his duties. Give him strength for all he has to do. Help me to act towards him in ways that encourage him instead of tearing him down. Dear Lord, I fervently pray that you keep my husband from slipping into having an unbelieving heart. Keep his heart strong on You, the Living God. Strengthen me to disregard offenses and encourage him in his work and with our family. Dear Lord, I fervently pray for my dear husband today that he would grow in wisdom. Help him to look to you for each decision he needs to make and not make unwise or foolish choices. Dear God, Please give my husband strength today. Help him to remember that his strength and grace come from you. Help us all to remember that all of our good gifts come from you, Heavenly Father. When my husband is feeling weak, please remind him of your love and your support, and help him to recall my love and support for him as well. Help me to be the wife that he needs me to be.
